Representatives from Charles Penzone, Inc. will pamper more than 100 girls and their mothers at the annual A Kid Again Mother/Daughter Spa Day June 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. The spa day - which treats girls with life-threatening illnesses and their moms to a day of salon services, dinner and special activities - will take place at the Charles Penzone Grand Salon in Dublin.

The spa day has been a regular event for Charles Penzone, Inc. since 1999. This year, more than 65 Charles Penzone volunteers are anticipated to perform salon services for 101 honorees. Fifty young women with cancer were selected by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and A Kid Again based on the criteria of being within five years of treatment and older than 13 years old. Each honoree will receive two spa or salon services, dinner and a special beauty class geared toward her individual needs.

“This event was my first effort in encouraging our team members to be more involved in our community, and I am so pleased we’ve been able to partner with A Kid Again for 12 events,” said Debra Penzone, president of Charles Penzone, Inc. “We are still able to do this today because our dedicated professionals donate their talents to helping daughters and their mothers take a day to relax.”
