Cirque du Soleil has added eight additional Corteo performances in Columbus, due to high demand. The added shows will be from May 29 to June 3.
Tickets will be available to the general public starting Sunday, April 8 at 9 a.m. and may be purchased online at www.cirquedusoleil.com or by calling Admission Network at 1-800-678-5440.
Corteo will premiere in Columbus on Friday, May 11 under its trademark blue and yellow Grand Chapiteau (Big Top) at the Ohio Expo Center.
Corteo, which means "cortege" in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.
The performance schedule is as follows.
Tuesdays thru Thursdays at 8 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Sundays at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
There is no performance on Mondays.
Ticket prices, tax included, are $45-$75 for adults; $28-$52.50 for children ages 2-12; and $36-$67.50 for students ages 13+ and seniors age 65+.
