Editor’s note: This is Part IV in a series of articles about the Snug Harbor development at Buckeye Lake.
The vision of Snug Harbor is becoming reality with the completion of the site development work this summer.
Also, with continued construction through the season, fall will bring the commencement of Snug Harbor’s anticipated Boardwalk and Wharf districts; the “Villa Di Luce” private club and spa; the Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor and Candy Shop; and Boathouse Row condominiums, homes and cottages.
“The Development Team has been very busy over the last year with design, engineering, architecture and construction planning. There are dozens of crews and workers on the project completing the site development work, the Club and Spa, community amenities and homes, all in preparation for Snug Harbor’s Grand Opening, which is coming soon,” says Developer Marty Finta.
“The first round of buyers got a glimpse of the community via dirt roads and bumpy expeditions, and the conceptual site development plans they admired on paper are now 90 percent complete and the first families are moving in this summer,” Finta adds.
He credits Snug Harbor’s sales performance during construction to the vision and planning behind the community. Finta has been working in conjunction with Gary Bruck and Joe Sullivan of Sullivan Bruck Architects.
“We (Finta, Bruck and Sullivan) realize it’s all about the water, superb architecture and resort-style amenities where families and friends gather to celebrate life well lived. Snug Harbor will be classically cool, romantic and magical,” Finta says.
